Dont say “I’ll keep it brief!”
It normally means you have a lot to say and may not say all you want to to say in the time others expect you to say it in.
Bettter not to say “i’ll keep it brief and just get on with what you should say. Adding “I’ll keep it brief” just lengthens the conversation, which makes you out a liar before you start!
