1.To be a believer, i.e, one who is saved, born again one must have the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:9-11. John 3;5) Christ (The Spirit of the Lord) cannot dwell in an unclean vessel who has another Spirit (2 Cor 6:14-16).
2.If medicine can cure the sickness then the sickness is not a demon
Cancer and high blood pressure can be cured by medication. Blood pressure goes up and down naturally. There is no blood pressure demon.
3.Not all sickness is a result of sin.
Who sinned? that this one was born blind. Jesus replied, neither he nor his parents (John 9:1-5). So don’t let the devil tell you you’re sick because of your sin! some folks are sick because of a poor eating habits, lack of exercise, there are environmental situations that effect health etc
4.Some sicknesses are hereditary
The first thing a doctor asks ‘Are there symptoms of this disease in your family?’ they then do ‘blood tests’ blood tests reveal the health of a persons body. Having demons is not hereditary, having diseases can be hereditary. So don’t blame your Dad for your demons. ‘If’ you got them you caught them, now deliver yourself from them.
5.Mental sickness may not be a demon
Insanity is a demon, it’s a condition where Satan has taken over the mind and will of a person, However mental health issues is another thing. Depression for example can be cured by developing a healthy mindset based on God’s word not your words and thoughts. Mental sickness at this level can be cured.
6.Demons have personality
So the demons begged Him, saying, “If You cast us out, permit us to go away[fn] into the herd of swine.” Matt 8:31)( If you are being prayed for and you don’t talk like this, you don’t have a demon. A person with a demon will talk like an animal and beg God to leave them alone.
7.The bible makes a distinction between sickness and demon possession
Jesus healed a man with leprosy. Leprosy one of the most physically destroying diseases Immediately the leprosy left him and he was made whole (Mark 1:42,44). Leprosy was not a spirit, it was a disease. The disease affects the skin, the peripheral nerves, mucosa of the upper respiratory tract, and the eyes. Leprosy is curable and treatment in the early stages can prevent disability WHO.INT
8.Jesus healed and there is no mention of a demon
People who were mute, blind and deaf.
9.There are Sicknesses that are linked to Demon Possession
A boy who was brought to Jesus he fell to the ground and rolled about foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked how long has this been happening. they replied since childhood It has often cast him into the fire, to destroy him… (Mark 9;20-22) Matthew 17:14-18). This is possession. Note it does not say he was a Believer!
10.Those who had demons exercised physical manifestations, seizure, speech impediments etc
(Luke 13;10-17. Matt 3:23,24) Mark 9:17) 1these were not natural occurances and there were others, who had similar experiences who had not demons. they were just sick.
11.The cross and the blood and our redemption
If you say that Christians have demons THEN you are saying that they must be delivered. and that that deliverance was NOT done at Calvary and the blood of Jesus. Note these scriptures. ‘He was wounded for my transgression bruised for my iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).’
