Do All Religions Worship The Same God, yet Call Him By a Different Name?

I was asked this question recently and my reply was, “No!” and here’s why.  Folks in other religions don’t call on “Jesus” for salvation! Anyone can call on “god,” but just because a person calls on “god” does not mean that the one they call on, exists! To us as Christians there is but one God who exists (Deut 4:35. 6:4) and for us to find the one true God we must know, his name.  Further, God is a “title” not a name. A title tells me about a person’s authority but its the name however that reveals who he is, in person. “Jesus” is the person of God and God in person, and since we know him personally, we  can now call on his name.

The name reveals everything that God is, and means, God has become my light and “salvation” (psalm 27:1) No other “god” has taken on flesh and become salvation for us.

“Neither is there salvation in any other name; for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Since I now know that the Lord’s name is Jesus,  I can now call on his name and be saved, just like they were in bible days. “Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38) Arise and be baptised, and wash away they sins, calling on the name of the Lord. (Acts 22:16)

No God like it, no salvation to compare with it. If you want the real stuff, find the one God. If you want life here’s his name, JESUS!
