Have you Received the Holy Ghost?

This post has already been read 586 times!

Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed. (Acts 19:2).

Paul asked this question because there were followers of the Lord who had not yet received his Spirit. The spirit is God himself (God is spirit) The Holy Ghost is God. In the beginning God gave us creation, he spoke to that which was “without form” “void” and in “darkness” Such is man without God. he has no life, his life is void of meaning and dwells perpetually in vanity, darkness! alienated from the life of his creator.

The bible or should I say God tells us that his Spirit moved upon the face of the waters (Genesis 1:2). Similarly when a man or women becomes born again, he is baptised and the Spirit moves upon the waters, a “new creation” emerges and comes forth, those born of water and Spirit, God’s new creation (Acts 2:38 John 3:5).

One can be a believer and not have God’s spirit. One can believe and still have a life void of meaning and power.  The bible tells us the devil believes. Belief alone, in God don’t get us to heaven, that s foolish talk. Let God’s spirit flow over you today, ask him to baptise you in his name. (Acts 19,5,6,17) Your life will take on meaning and a new day will be yours.

Paul.

Teach! Many don’t even believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and without they don’t have power and we need power and it’s only through the Holy Spirit. Many will say well as long as I am saved that is enough well we see how that is not true other wise the question would of not been asked “have you received since you been saved” Folks need to read their bibles and get understanding of God’s word..I can say I have received the Holy Spirit since I’ve believed and I am baptized in His spirit with the Manifestations of The Holy Ghost..Glory to God

The church at Ephesus were the believers in Acts. who were baptised in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 19:5,6,17) There always was one gospel to the church (Acts 2:38) and the apostles message in the epistles are to the church born of water and Spirit, always! and are corrective letters. So the salvation method is never questionable. In regard to 1 Cor 12. To know him as Lord one must have the spirit. The spirit is the proof that we have obeyed him and his commandments to be filled with his Spirit. Ony then can he be Lord! (John 7:39 Mk 16:16).My brother thank you for allowing me to respond and many thanks for the visit today. Feel free to let me know your thoughts and I’ll be interested in knowing your insight too.Paul

I guess I would have to ask your take on Ephesians 1:13-14 and 1 Corinthians 12:3?

Paul you are spot on. Not enough teaching and preaching about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I am baptised and filled! It’s available to them who ask. Good word my friend! Be Blessed!

Hey Paul, This seems to the prevailing message throughout this month. My current posting as well as my upcoming Sabbath message will have some of the same strong elements as this one does. Great Word and Keep Looking Up!

I am happy to proclaim that I have received the Holy Ghost, with evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the spirit gives me utterance! Glory to God!Paulette

Amen my sister i like to think of it like this. if “belief only” gets us to heaven and the devil believes, then If I get to heaven and he’s there, one of us is in the wrong place… would’nt you agree?.
