False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. I behaved myself as though he had been MY FRIEND or brother: (Psalm 35:11-14).My friend told me how one day his sergeant came up to him and condemned him for no reason. The sergeant’s sudden verbal attack, surprised him and nearly caught him off guard. He thought to himself, What have I done to deserve all this and was just about to defend himself and answer back, when he heard the voice of the Spirit of God tell him “Dont say anything!” A few seconds later the sergeant turned around and said, in an apologetic tone “Now that was only me for a few seconds!” and smiled!
My friend told me, “If I had reacted with as good as he gave me I would have lost my witness and testimony forever.” He said, “God uses folks like him to show me my weaknesses and how I can improve myself. The weakness in me cannot be overcome without them they help me grow, and become a better person.” What’s a threat is actually an education. My enemy betters me as man of God and show me how much God I have. You cannot defeat a man who has no enemies. Whats more you cannot belittle a man who lets the enemy educate him!
Paul.
