Survival or Revival?

1. We need revival because we need God to save the lost. Lost people will not come to a dead church. “If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me.”
2. Revival will always demonstrate the power of God. “The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation.” We therefore need the true gospel, the original gospel to be spoken in order to see the power of God in the house.
3. We need revival because its our responsibility to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every man. Further we are commanded to make disciple of all nations (Mt 19: most of us pastors focus on baptizing individuals but the Lord commands us to baptize nations.
4. We need revival because its our first duty to Go into all the world and preach the gospel. The soul of God’s servant cannot be fulfilled until he obeys the Lords command, and the reason is this. There is a passion that comes to him from obedience to thecommand that he cannot get if he follows another course or career. A preachers soul can never be satisfied unless he pursues a global mission
5. Pastors need revival. “His word was like a fire shut up in my bones.” the prophet like the church at Ephesus must both return to their first love. Missions!
6. We need revival because the church needs the gifts of the Holy Ghost in the house. Without the power gifts we have no demonstration of faith. The church must demonstrate its faith again and the gift of faith for the healing of the sick and the deliverance of the bound. To pursue the great commission which is heal the sick cast out devils raise the dead we need the gift of faith.
7. We need revival because pastors are quitting the ministry. One reason is because of burnout. They try to do it all. Pastor make use of the evangelist. He might even save your life
8. We need Revival to take the struggle of survival. yes its survival or revival. I like this quote which I’ve taken from the AWCF website. “In evangelism we are seeking the Lost. If revival comes they will seek use (Acts 8:19).” (www.awcf.org).
