Setting an Apostolic BENCHMARK.

“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give”(Matthew 10:7-8).
Apostolic Benchmark 1
These signs follow them that believe in my name.. (Mark 16:17)
If your apostolic do it like the apostles. Signs and wonders have a benchmark. It’s not the falling down, shaking or speaking in tongues. These can be counterfeited. The benchmark for all ministry is the healing of the sick, the cleansing of the leper, raising the dead and casting out of demons.

Apostolic Benchmark 2:
The preaching of Salvation accompanied by water baptism in the name of Jesus immediately followed by the laying on of hands for the reception of the Holy Ghost in which the believer speaks with new tongues. (Acts 2:38 Acts 10:44-47).

This is in direct contrast to today’s ask Jesus into your heart substitutionary message proclaimed by those who do not power to preach baptism into the name

Apostolic Benchmark 3
The call of God.
There are those who see the ministry as a career and there are those who are in the ministry because of the call. One should be able to declare one’s conversion like Paul in (Acts 26:12-18).

A. Where God is revealed to you as Jesus. (v15). Without the revelation of who God is in person one can never preach Jesus or salvation in his name.
B. Your call will be top a specific mission. Paul was called to preach Jesus. (V16-18)
C.Your call will be to a specific people. Paul was called to the Gentiles to open their eyes to the truth of who Jesus was.

All those who are called should be able to state these three things. A true preacher will know who called him, and to what he is called and what is his message as a called one. He will understand the incarnated God and have the revelation that Jesus is God in the flesh. Since he knows who God is, he will baptize in his name. (Acts 2:38).

Note this. The man who does this can be or maybe an apostle. and with so many claiming this title today, it is good and necessary that we see the benchmark in scriptures for those who give themselves this title and any other ministry title today.
