THE THINGS THAT ACCOMPANY SALVATION.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 9:10-13).

And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him
Acts 8:34-38).

Calling on the name of the Lord is never done in isolation. We call on the name of the Lord (Jesus) upon being baptised. thus we are baptised into the name for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Arise and be baptised and wash away your sins calling on the name of the Lord (Acts 22:16). Now, why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name [for salvation].’ AMP. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments. (Psalm 119:60). And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ AND by the Spirit of our God.(1 Cor 6;11).

Let me elaborate this verse. You were washed justified and sanctified by baptism in his name AND baptism in the Holy Ghost. He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth AND renewal by the Holy Spirit, (Titus 3:5 NIV).

As many as were baptised into Christ have put on Christ,” (Gal 3;27).

THE THINGS THAT ACCOMPANY SALVATION

Saul who became Paul was not converted on the way to Damascus, No That’s when he met Jesus and saw light. Think of this, many today will say that one who has prayed the sinners prayer, ‘came to Christ’ No, Christ came to them and further, that’s was not when they got born again (JOHN 3;5 ) but like Saul they met Jesus.

Saul was born again according to Jesus Acts 22;16 ‘And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’ … and became a witness of all things SEEN and HEARD (Acts 22:15). Notice he ‘called on the name of the LORD’ as he was baptised. this is when sins are washed away. Thus he completed the requirement of Salvation as Jesus had declared in John 3;5. Born of water and Spirit

The things that accompany salvation. (Hebrew 6:9).

We shall look at these things as found in the life of Paul
1.He spent time with the disciples (Acts 9:19b). and as a result grew more and more as a disciple (Acts 9:22).
2.He was introduced to the apostles and joined the church (Acts 9:26-31).
3.Saul, had a new reverence for the LORD. ‘Behold he is praying.’ Prayer accompanies salvation. (Acts 9:27).
4.He preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus (Acts 9:27).
5.Saul recognised that he had a new responsibility as a witness to the World and as a witness of Christ (Acts 22;15,22).
Paul

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18).

DEALING WITH LIFES UNCERTAINTIES WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD
Fears of the uncertainties of our time. Enhanced by media speculation of rumours of wars and wars. When we know about God and his ways we can dispel fears of man and his wicked intentions. When we have knowledge of him and his dealings with man, divine understanding replaces human speculation. We should not fear the terror by day or the arrow by night.

The knowledge of GOD reveals that HOPE replaces UNCERTAINTY.
Man fears what he does not know. In understanding God man can hope in God. Hope thou in the LORD The psalmist says, It is the knowledge of God that gives man hope in God. When man knows that God is greater than man and believes it to be so, this hope enables him to fear God more than man. His trust and confidence therefore becomes his strength in time of trouble and hope in times of uncertainty.

The knowledge of GOD shows us that The Holiness of God will Drive out the Carnality of man
but it is the knowledge of God that will drive out all fear. Carnality is rooted in man’s human nature that does not trust or fear God. Where there is no fear of God man is prone to fear everything and anything from man. Man by nature to a degree, fears those in power, and those that exercise power. We look at the news and seek what is being done by Governments to combat terrorism and one reason is this we rely on those who have power. We feel secure when we “know” we are protected, by the Lord who has a ‘more sure’ word. It is the knowledge of God that gives us a hope that is greater than the security of man. Our trust is in God and in the knowledge of God. It is therefore for this reason that Peter tells us to “Grow in the knowledge of God.” If God is infinite in power let us fear him for he is in power.

The knowledge of GOD informs us that God is in Control at all times
Look at the birds: they do not plant seeds, gather a harvest and put it in barns; yet your Father in heaven takes care of them! Aren’t you worth much more than birds? (Matt 6;25). Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient (Matt 6;34). What can God do? He is at work all the time. Some folks think God doesn’t care about the worlds problems, Many are asking God where are you in all this mess? Some have even quit on God because he seemingly has gone to sleep, but Friend God has never been out of the picture. he neither slumbers not sleeps. (Psalm121:4).

There are things God is doing against our enemies that we will never know about. The work of his “unseen” hand. There are atrocities planned that have never taken place, things that we will never know about, the only proof is that He kept our soul to this day. The work of his invisible hand. Some think that God has forgotten his creation and the evil tyrants of our day are having their way but not so. God is angry with the wicked every day (Psalm 7:11). There are things he does that we should not know about but sufficient it is to know God is angry with the wicked every day. The Lord cuts of the spirit of the princes (Psalm 76:12). He guides the hearts of the kings like a river, no king can make a decision without God being involved known or unknown God rules the hand of the king. (Prov 21;1). A king’s kingdom belongs to God and so does a kings world. while kingdoms seek to become superpowers we have a message for all powers. God alone has ALL POWER and in that we rest free from all fear. It is therefore for this reason that Peter tells us to “Grow in the knowledge of God”

The KNOLWEDGE OF GOD Reveals that He Maketh Wars to Cease
“He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.” (Psalm 46:9). The world is a work of his finger. What God creates man cannot destroy. Did he not create a new life for us. Are we not a new creation, what a miracle. In creation, God performed one miracle he spoke and it was so, in our salvation as his new creation he has performed many miracles, do we not see it? As blind, we are made to see, As dead, the dead in sin are raised again, without life he gives us his Spirit. Has he not saved us to the uttermost.

Man builds weapons to try and destroy nations, but God can remove the weapons, without any weapon. Man seeks to move nations out of their place, But God alone can move the earth out of its place (Job 9:6). and put man in his place. Man cannot even choose where he is born, he cannot choose his own color or nationality. how many hairs he has on his head or the lack of them either. God does all these things.

He asked Job, “Have you an arm like God or can you thunder with a voice like his” (Job 40:9). Man makes a threat, God keeps a promise. When man threatens to destroy God’s creation, he take on God, what a fool! God himself will not be challenged. “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh he shall have them in derision” (Psalm 2). He can shut up mouths of lions. and give the timid the mouth of a lion, even if a timid man has nothing to say he can make him stand like a Daniel before them or stand untouched by a flame in the middle of a furnace. Furnace or Lion, our God gives us power. It is therefore for this reason that Peter tells us to “Grow in the knowledge of God.” Man threatens war have we forgot God is a man of war (Exodus 15:3) God can fight his enemies without fighting. He uses his arm to destroy them. Man’s arm must possess a missile to fire or a gun to trigger. But God’s arm is a missile. He creates heavens and planets with his finger and and out devils too. (Psalm 8:3).

What we believe, we fear and we fear God!

#1 ATTEND TO GOD’S WORDS

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20-23).

LIFE AND HEALTH
Life and health to all your flesh ( ) here is the doctor telling you that you need medication to get your body well, well here is your heavenly physician telling us to get his medicine GOD’S WORDS. they are life to all our flesh (Selah: pause and think on this).

#1 PRAY THE WORD OUR LOUD..

there is exciting about prayer time. I enjoyed the church prayer meeting for many reasons one of which was this it was positive powerful and envigorating. when folks prayed they ‘prayed positive’ have you noticed that when folks pray collectively they talk to God on incredible things, mighty things, expected things. they talk with power and force in their voice and pray with Intelligence and stamina in their vocabulary.

Praying OUT LOUD fills a man with optimism and courage enabling his words to be as a prophetic voice into the airways of heavenly places.. Here’s how to FIRE UP YOUR SOUL in prayer… When people pray they repeatedly utter words and phrases that relate to a positive outlook about the future while they shut out opposite thoughts.

Write down a few sentences that describe you succeeding shutting out any negative thoughts and then praye them, pray your goals, not your failures. pray your victory and not your poverty. read them aloud then pray them out loud just for three to five minuites a day. It’s not enough to think positive you must energise your soul by praying positive, OUT LOUD.

ENJOY THE ABUNDANT LIFE

The Abundant life is both a LOCATION and a LIFETSTYLE.A man van life in CALIFORNIA yet but live the lifestyle of one who is blessed in California in fact California has many squatters and homeless folks. Don’t be Squatter be a land POSESSOR. Live as if you belong there! live as if you’re an OWNER not a Beggar. The loving devotion that He swore to your fathers. 13 He will love you and bless you and multiply you.(Deuteronomy 7:12). He will bless the fruit of your womb (Deuteronomy 7:13 and the fruit of your land. You shall be blessed above all peoples Deuteronomy 7:13)Deuteronomy 7:13) The Lord will take away form you all SICKNESS (Deuteronomy7:15V15).

#5 By FAITH PURSUE IT

For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Hebrews 11:10 KJV).

The best things in life are gained by faith. Hebrews 11:8 says “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

#6 WORK HARD and KEEP it.

21Folly is joy to one who lacks judgment, but a man of understanding walks a straight path. 22Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverbs 15:21 22).

Pursue it through FAITH. Build it through WISDOM Achieve success through KNOWLEDGE

Wisdom is the sail that navigates the ship Christ is the anchor that holds the cargo. Knowledge is the rudder that directs the vessel. Wisdom does not avoid the storm it does however empower you to make your greatest choices for life and God’s total success. and bring your ship to harbour.

#7 THE LAND OF MORE THAN ENOUGH.. EXPERIENCE IT

Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. 7For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; 8a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; 9a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you. Deuteronomy 8:6-10

#8 REMEMBER…THE LORD YOUR GOD!

Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it. 15 The Lord delighted only in your fathers, to love them; and He chose their [a]descendants after them, you above all peoples, as it is this day. 16 Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be stiff-necked[b] no longer. 17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. 18 He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. 19 Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. 20 You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him, and to Him you shall hold fast, and take oaths in His name. 21 He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen. (Deut 10;14-21)
