How you see God determines how you see the world around you. Religious people are therefore the most bound and oppressed. Let me explain.
Muslim fanatics joining ISIS from US and UK. Why? Its in man’s human nature to want to fight for a cause. Religion has not given him a cause to fight for. It’s given him rules to abide by and condemnation to accompany it. But a cause to fight for? Society is angry, the world is angry, especially the religious world. Religion itself makes a man angry. Have you ever tried abiding by a bunch of rules that forces you to become less than free! Men who break God’s laws condemn themselves for their own failure. They see God as mad at them and in turn they become mad with themselves for their own failure to keep the rules. They also see God as mad with everyone else also who is not as addicted to their religion as they are, so they express their rage by embarking on a religious rampage of hate and death.
Anger fuels religion. But what would happen if your god was not religious and your god was not your religion? What if your the one true and living God was not mad with everyone? Would you not then be stressing out over something that just robbed you and those around you of life, yes life! peace and life. It’s strange to me how one perspective of God can determine ones hell or one’s heaven, dependent on how you wanted to live it out here on earth.
Christians don’t go around killing folks because they don’t see God as a killer or one who is mad with them either. They have a different perspective of God and as a result live a happier life. In fact they see God as a savior and Lord. If I accept Jesus as my God then my faith is not in religion but in the man who is God. He came to give me life, not religion. He Jesus was not religious but came to give me freedom from it. Now with that in mind I can live peaceful with all men and let the Lord fight my enemies. How about you?
