Gal 3:27 “For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
NOTE: In Matt 28:19, the word translated “in” in the phrase “in the name of…” is the Greek word “eis” which means “into.” The above two scriptures show what we are truly to be baptized into—not the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit —but, into Christ and His death. “This was the formula of the followers of Eunomius (Socr. 5.24)–‘for they baptise not into the trinity, but into the death of Christ.'” (Encyclopedia Biblica, article: Baptism).
When we are baptized we ‘put on Christ’ Just as God put on flesh when he was incarnated.we put ob Christ when we are baptized, we put on a new coat or a new nature, a new appearance a new apparal. when we are born again we enter into his death, burial and resurrection. that is we take on his LIFE, through a death burial and resurrection as given to us in the new birth being born of water and spirit. the water our burial ground the reception of the Holy Ghost our resurrection form this life into his life.
Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2By this gospel you are saved, (1 Cor 15:1).

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance a : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Cor 15:1) This is the gospel. and when we understand that his death becomes my death then we can live his life thorough his resurrection. Paul said And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Romans 8:10).
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. (Galatians 2:20).
