If you want to be the best you have to penetrate the edges. You have to break the mold especially new one’s. The danger of having new ways is that when their time is over, we still use them as if they God’s new thing! Compliance to a thing is dying, believers who complied to dogmas and man-made system, are waking up to the fact that some things just don’t work anymore! For us the challenge is getting back to Acts in both ability and influence, doctrine and demonstration It has the model for what has worked. That should be our goal, a ministry as in Acts that works. Nothing else pleases God or lines up to his program! and there are edges we have to challenge if we want A book of Acts ministry.
EDGES……
* Why not have the miracles they had in Acts rather than just seeing folks falling down when they are prayed for, which has become a substitute move of God. Lets keep it real. If its in Acts it’s real! (Acts 3:6-8. 5;5,16).
* Why not have a baptism pool on in every meeting, where the repentant are baptised right there and then and receive the Holy Ghost the same day. No hindrance, no distance, a right here and now revival (Acts 2:38 5:36).
* Why not have church where “asking Jesus into your heart” was not the salvation message? A message thats not in the bible is not for us. Why not preach a salvation that is for us! Salvation as it is in Acts 2:38 and Acts 120 with a baptismal pool ready so that all who call on his name are baptised in his name, for the remission of their sins, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost as they came out of the water. (Acts 2;38 Acts 10:44-47). Imagine church like this next sunday… why Not?
* Why not have church where the gifts of the Holy Ghost are evident, tongues and tongues for interpretation, working of miracles and faith, the word of wisdom and discerning of spirits etc, notable miracles? Why just have church that fits into a tv slot. Why not have church that fit’s into God’s lot? (Acts 4:16. 9:34 1 Cor 12:14).
* Why not have church where the preacher doesn’t sit there and spectate while the crowd is exhorted to stand and worship? Why not have church where the preacher is the first to get down and cry before God… (Acts 4:31).
* Why not have church where Leadership come from God’s Ghost not man’s talk. Where the worship leader never tells the congregation to shout, say something, raise their hands, say amen, repeat after me! Why not have church where the Holy Ghost says it all? and if God’s not talking the leader says nothing. His job is to worship God not manipulate others with well worn wearisome jargon. Where is the shift, where is the refreshing that will replace the boring. Who will get out of the rut and let the Holy Ghost take over.
The future don’t belong to those in a rut, it belongs to those who challenge the edge
Paul.
