#05 Jesus the Healer
By Paul B Thomas
Topic: Jesus the Healer
Scripture Reading: (Luke 4;18).
Purpose: Jesus is our healer. dissever the power of the Promised blessings, here with Brother Paul.
1.God anointed JESUS for the deliverance of captives.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Luke 4;18).
2.Can God take away Sickness?
You shall serve the Lord your God; He shall bless your bread and water and I will take sickness away from your midst (ex23:25.AMP).
3.Does God promise long life?
With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation (Psalm 91:16 AMP). Who forgives (everyone)of your iniquities, Who heals (each one) of your diseases (Ps103:3 (AMP).
4.Did Jesus carry our sins and sicknesses on Calvary.
Surely he has Bourn our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment) yet we (ignorantly) considered him stricken, smitten and afflicted by God, (as if with leprosy) but he was wounded for our transgressions He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes I am healed and made whole (Isaiah 53:4-5).
5.Is Restoration to the fullness of health possible?
For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds saith the Lord because they have called you an outcast, this is Zion whom no one seeks after and no one cares (Jer 30:17).
6.What should be our confession?
They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover (Mark16:18).
Let the weak say I am strong (Joel3:10).
Surely he shall deliver the from the snare of the Fowler ( Ps91:39)
The Lord is the true God, he is the living God (Jer 10:10)
Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel beside me there is no God (Is 44:6)
He hath filled he hungry with good things (Luke 1:53).
I shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17).
Both riches and honour comes from thee (1 Chron 29:12)
He raisers up the poor out of the dust and lifted up the beggar (1 Sam 2:8)
7.The Gospel is good news with Power.
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation (Ro1:16).
The man with the withered hand..Stretch forth thine hand (Matthew 12;13)
The Man with an infirmity 38 Years..Wilt thou be made whole (John 5;6)
The man born Blind…Go wash in the pool of Siloam (John 9:7).
The Woman with an issue of blood…Who touched me, For I perceive that virtue is gone out of me (Luke 45-46).
8.The healed on should be loosed from all bondage of the Past.
Loose him and let him go (John 11;44).
9.The Healed one should return and give glory at the place where he was healed.
The were cleansed? But where are the nine there are not found, that returned to give glory to God save, this stranger (Luke 17:17-18).
10.Fasting and prayer is necessary in certain cases.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matt 17-21).
NOTES: Jesus is our healer. We know this because healing is his nature , just as truth is his nature, and salvation is his essence so then healing is not only what he gives but who he is. He is healing. And he cannot give anything but healing for that is what he is.
Questions to Consider: Is healing God’s will? Is sickness a result of the curse of sin? Has Christ dealt withe curse on Calvary? How should we believe God for healing? Is healing the sick proof of the coming of the kingdom? (Matt 12;28) Did Jesus give the disciples power over the enemy? (Luke 10;19) How important is using the name in ministering healing and deliverance? (Mark 9:39-40) Can the believer do the same works as Jesus? (John 14;12).
