Abound. To be in plentious of supply, having more than enough. Abundance or abundantly.
`Where sin abounded (by its increase) grace abounded more exceedingly (was rich beyond measure). (Romans 5;20)
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15;13)
So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly. (1 Cor 14;12). (construction, edifying, building it higher and higher).
But as you abound in everything, in faith, utterance, knowledge, all earnestness, and in your love to us, see that you also abound in this grace. (2 Cor 8;7)
..and the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we also do toward you, (1 Thess 3;12)
And Jehovah thy God will make thee abound in every work of thy hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, for good; for Jehovah will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers; (Deut 30;9).
Paul said, I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Phil 4;12-14)
‘I KNOW’ how to be abased and how to abound. He knew how to live with nothing and live with every need supplied. IF he had nothing you, you would think he was rich and similarly when he was rich you would’nt think that he had it all. Nothing changed him, his character or his dependency on the Lord. because having much did not change him and having nothing did not faze him. money or poverty moved him. he could do all things in Christ which strengthened him.
