The Elisha said hear ye the word of the Lord thus said the lord Tomorrow about this time…. shall measure of flour be sold for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel at the gate o Samaria. Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, If the Lord would make windows in heaven might this thing be.And he (Elisha) said behold thou shalt see it with thine eyes but shall not eat thereof. (2Kings 7;2)…… And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate and the people trod on him at the gate and died. (2 Kings 7v17).
When Samaria was surrounded by Syria, they received a prophetic word promising resource. One of the king’s men scoffed & said: “Could this be possible? If God opened windows in heaven?” The next day he was trampled in the gate. (Heres my thought piggybacking on the the above tweet of Daniel Mckillop CA on family church @drmackillop
… maybe you are a man of God set at the gate, yes the gate of your city or the gate of your business world, the gate. Whatever gate you are set at, we should live in expectancy at the promised word of the Lord. and it’s fulfilment in our lives. Doors represent opportunities gates represent movements, Life is too short to spend standing at the door waiting for something to come our way or standing at the gate waiting for revival. be the revival, open that door... Act in faith, God said it and he will make it happen for you. My prayer for you today is simply this” … “Lord help me not die at the door of my opportunity..”
