Worldwide condemnation of the Olympic games opening ceremony where drag artists made a mockery of the Lord’s supper, Christianity and God himself. It was a defiant act where pride yes pride exalts a man and elevates himself above the law of God and God. It was also intentional. Scenes like this are not concocted in a day, things like this come from the heart of man who is desperately wicked and evil. Those who have aught against God, his creation, humanity and his law. The media calling it a ‘mockery’ yes it is a mockery but worse still it is ‘blasphemy’ yes ‘blasphemy’ is a biblical description for those who mock our God. Blasphemy: which is ‘The action or offence of speaking sacrilegiously about God or sacred things; profane talk:’ (Wiki). (Mark 7;22,23) ‘For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.’ an evil eye, blasphemy pride and foolishness!
Matthew 12;31,32; states: Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.’
‘blasphemy’ according to Strong’s means.. slander to insult or curse, speak evil, abusive or evil speech. defamed, reviled. as opposed to ‘mockery‘ fools make a mockery of sin but among the righteous thee is favour (Proverbs 14:9). Mockery: to ridicule or one who is a scoffer. Galatians 6:7 Galatians 6:7 ‘Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.’
Where there is no law (as it is in many nations today) iniquity abounds, where there is a combination of progress and opportunity mixed with lawlessness, man becomes his own deity and sits at his own table playing god. These people are ignorant of God’s works. Psalms 2 tells us he who sits in the heavens shall have them in ‘derision’ though they scorn in their self importance, he God shall judge the unrighteous with his fierce anger. I’ll leave the final verdict to him.
