Woe is Me… If I preach Not

1. I preach the gospel because I gave him my heart

I was ignorant when I came to Christ as a ten years old boy. All I knew was that  I gave him my heart, If he has that he has me. My mission grew in me. I discovered thats what God wants one’s Heart.
Still does!,

2. I Preach the gospel lest I myself become a reprobate

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. I want to keep saved. He who looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. I dont want to look back. I dont want to become  complacent, I gave my life to preach. If I’ve failed and I have then my failure, stigma or past is my cross, your’s too! Woe is me if I preach without having proof that I can carry a cross.

3. I preach the gospel because truth has fallen in the streets

Truth has fallen in the streets. (Isaiah 59:14)

If my neighbour dont know it and my friend lives without it then its fallen in the street.  It’s time for the crowds to hear it. I’m not talking of slamming people I’m talking of having compassion to connect in real ways where we are  influencial as well as preachy, compassionate as well as anointed, convincing as well as communicating.

New days require a new approach online, new people skills, new social  skills. We can’t expect to do better than pre-internet days if we dont skillfully adapt by adding new social skills to our portfolio. We have to ask, are we growable?

4. I preach the gospel to combat complacency and comfort.

Woe to them that at ease in Zion
(Amos 6:1).
Give not sleep to thine eyes nor slumber to thine eyelids  (Proverbs 6:4).

If  we allow the world and business to force us into complacency then what will become of us? What will become of our sons and grandsons, daughters and grandaughters. What are we building for them that they can step on?

“You are God’s Investment into your Generation”

Will they struggle like us or can we built them a platform to declare the word with greater success, a larger audience a bigger world!

This genEration is too comfortable. Thats what the world offers, comfortability. Can you buck the trend and do business?  Preaching is not comfortable. Things that altar a mans destiny and  eternal state cannot be comfortable,  Destiny and comfortabiltiy make poor partners.   Woe is me if I preach not the gospel!

EDGE ....

EDGE ….

Preaching is uncomfortable thats why God attached it to the resurrection. Its the sort of stuff that makes dead men come alive. Most of us preachers wont be able to leave our kids much but what we can leave them is conviction, fight and a hard act to follow.

How about You?

5. I preach the gospel lest my ease become a disease and my slothfulness my ruin

What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel  (1 Corinthians 9:18).

The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. If we want to see God we have to preach truth. There is power in truth. There is a compelling in the spirit to preach truth to our generation. The spirit of ease has crept into our lifestyle. Sure we can use Facebook and Twitter but we are at ease there! Are we focused to the point of abandonment, sold out in pursuing something bigger than us? Are we climbing walls we have feared? Are we breaking barriers between them and us? Are we connecting to those we have previously avoided?

“Your Ministry Growth online is governed by your ability to network socially and add value continually to everyday folks who want to win in life and ministry.”

You are I once were pagans. What’s so holy about us that we can’t  get in the mud and get down with others.

Do we favour the comfort zone for  the mission zone?

Are we going to stick in the crowd we know the folks that wont challenge our views or are we going to get Christ-like and venture into danger to see God work. That way we will discover that uncomfortability builds bigness in a man, the God kind of bigness.

“What legacy will we leave? Quit defending history. Make history! then your kids after you will have something to talk about when you’re dead and gone.”

Other generations and organisations have built walls out of fear, we must build bridges out of faith, a new faith that comes from a global can-do-ness.

Global is the not so new local if youre online you’re already doing missions.

No excuse evangelism this is our Can Do Must Do time.

Your are too big to do the small stuff and have to much God  not to do the preaching stuff! Get over it preaching was created for you.

Woe is unto me If I preach not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 9:16 ).
