The Holy Ghost is God

1 min read

This post has already been read 319 times!

..think of it, a “spirit” does not have flesh and bones…..as you see me have (Luke 24:39)  God is Spirit (John 4:24) Jesus was differentiating between himself (flesh) and the Spirit, saying that “the Spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see me have,” signifying that he alone was the “person” (flesh and bones) of the Godhead!

Spirit does not have a body, Spirit lives in a body. Remember God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.  So who is the Holy Ghost?

The Spirit is the Lord’s spirit or the Spirit of God. That which comes forth from a person The prophets knew the spirit as the “Spirit of the Lord.” When the Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson a person did not fall on top of him! When  you prophesy or speak in other tongues a person does not crash on you! No its the Spirit.

The Spirit of the Lord (Judges 14:6)
The Holy Ghost is called the Holy Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:30)
The Holy Ghost is called the Spirit of his Son (Gal 4:6)
The spirit is Jesus himself  (2 Cor 3:17)
……..which makes our God one and his name Jesus

Paul.
