Amen. I love that distinction you made between what we are responsible for and what God is able to do to bring our redemption to its full completedness. We Baptize and Jesus Forgives. Remission of our sins – sending away our sins so that we can now wear new garments, clothed in righteousness and garments of praise – the full package of transformation and renewal. We become a new creation in Christ. Putting away the old things and taking on the new which is Salvations full package of redemption in a nutshell. What a wonderful post!God Bless you Paul.Sherline. 😀

Brother Paul, you can preach in my building anyday…Now, this will stop all of that using baptism like its apart of some ritual or cult duty. I really dont see many other religions baptizing like I see the Baptist. I often wonder are they doing it because of the cause you listed above or because it is their mandate under their name? When people realize that to be baptized does not mean its a duty or to make us wet, but it is actually our new SPIRITUAL GARMENT then they will begin to go deep down in the water (HOLY SPIRIT) more often… The Baptism is really to clothe you in your proper Spiritual Garments, so after the baptism or the fitting of your new Spiritual Wardrobe, then you should also come up and be carrying all the other spiritual garments as well… Galatians 5:22-23,] “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Bless you Brother Paul and keep the Fire Burning! I love it…
